Unlike Joseph, several known photographs of Emma Hale Smith Bidamon exist. Unfortunately, the earliest is from 1845, at the age of 41 and after she had suffered a stroke during childbirth. Using this photo, her painted portrait, and some details from the actress who played her in LDS films, I have re-imagined Emma in her prime. She is wearing a gold bead necklace given to her by Joseph, and the beautiful shawl from her painted portrait.
